It’s King Tide Party Time And You’re Invited! Bring Your Camera! Win Prizes!
What’s a King Tide? It’s an unusually high tide, and it’s coming on Thursday! Flooding is Expected (it’s happened before — it can happen again)!
— Listen to Jan Piribeck, USM Professor of Art, at 8 p.m. tonight on WMPG speak about this week’s King Tide Party on Thursday!
— Come Down to Portland’s MoonTide Garden, Ocean Gateway Pier, to Observe the King Tide at 12 noon, on Oct. 9, Thursday !
The king tide is expected to peak at 12:09 p.m. with a height of 11.39 feet. It will be observed with theatrical performances, temporary sculpture, puppetry and a weather-balloon flight!
USM students will monitor the rising tide and anticipated flooding in Portland.
