Casco Bay Estuary Partnership is developing a new high-resolution coastal ocean model of water movement in Casco Bay. The model will provide three-day forecasts of ocean conditions in Portland Harbor and surrounding areas, including predictions of water levels, ocean flooding, current velocity, wave height, water temperature, and salinity.
In November 2022 CBEP held community meetings and collected comments from community members regarding uses for the information generated by the Casco Bay circulation model, and tools to access it. Click here for a summary of progress to date.
