State of Casco Bay: 2026 Edition

Every five years, Casco Bay Estuary Partnership gathers and analyzes the best available data on water quality, land use, habitat coverage, and other key indicators to assess the Bay’s health. From the State of the bay event

CBEP’s State of Casco Bay 2026 event was held on Friday, October 2, at the University of Southern Maine’s Abromson Center in Portland. The event brought together scientists, community organizations, artists, educators, students, and members of the public to explore the health of Casco Bay and the many ways people are working to protect its future.
With the theme “Science, Community, and the Future of Casco Bay,” the event connected current research and monitoring with the people, partnerships, and experiences that make stewardship possible.
